The Sims
This is a wonderful and addictive game. A change of quality from the
past sim flops from Maxis: (Sim Ant, Sim Farm, Sim Park, ect...). A
remarkable game never done before. A game where you control actual
people instead of cities, islands, towers, farms, ect... Where you
control what kind of house they live in, what job they have, and what
they buy. You can also control what actions they do. Whether its eat,
sleep, work, or play.
When you first play the game you will see a sim neighborhood. You can
choose to play the tutorial to get started, or play with the life of an
already built Sim, or you can build a sim from scratch and move your
family in an already built home, or you can build a sim from scratch and
move him into an empty lot and then you build the house with the
wonderful house building tool.
When you build your sim you go to a screen that shows some already built
Sims such as a family, roomies, and a bachelor. You can choose to make
your own sim with a variety of faces and clothing styles. Then you can
choose their personality with traits like neat, outgoing, active,
playful, and nice.
Building a house for your sim is my favorite thing to do because there
are so many possibilities of how you can do it. You can make it
traditional or as wild as you want it. You can make it look beautiful,
make it look like your own, or make it look like some retarded architect
made it. It's all up to you.
This is what I did for my very first sim:
I built a man by the name of George Carter. I can't remember what kind
of cloths or personality I gave him because it was a very long
time ago. Anyway, I build him a house (A house that was not very
functional. I could tell because the layout rating for my sim was low.)
that had wallpaper on the outside because at the time I didn't know
about the outside stuff like brick, aluminum siding, and stone. I gave
him a job in the medical line. I don't remember him getting promoted. I
gave him a chair, the cheapest TV, a radio and the other necessities
like refrigerator, toilet, and shower. I decided to evict him and
destroy the house for a better family.
One other fun thing to do with your sim when you are tired of playing
with him is to kill him! Yes, it does sound morbid, but we don't care
about that do we? One of the most violent (and my favorite) ways to kill
your sim is to burn him. Just be sure that one of your Sims does not
have any cooking skills and you have an oven or a fireplace. Then ask
the sim to cook or light a fire, then watch the fun start. Make sure
that you don't have a smoke detector or otherwise that will spoil the
fun. Call all of your other Sims into the fire room and you can sit back
and relax while your Sims burn up. Just make sure that there are plenty
of things to feed the fire.
There are other ways to kill your sim like drowning, starvation,
electrocution, and sickness. To drown your sim make him swim in a pool
then take out the ladder. When his energy runs out then he will die. To
starve your sim you must, of course, make him not eat. I do not know how
to break the TV or any other appliance, but you can. Just get your sim
to fix it and watch the sparks fly. To get your sim sick just don't let
him take a bath.
The Sims is a wonderful game that you must experience. Please, for your
own sake, go out and buy it! It is a must have!
